Ingredients
  

Cobbler Base

  • ¼ cup + 2 Tablespoons butter salted or unsalted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Salt to taste about 1 teaspoon
  • ¾ cup milk

Peach Topping

  • 2 cups fresh peaches (about 4-5 large peaches) peeled and chopped
  • ½ cup granulated sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish, and set it aside.
  • Melt the butter in the greased baking dish.
    ¼ cup + 2 Tablespoons butter
  • Whisk the remaining base ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
    ¾ cup granulated sugar, ¾ cup all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, Salt to taste, ¾ cup milk
  • Pour the flour mixture evenly over the butter. Do not stir!
  • In a separate bowl, toss the peaches with sugar, coating them completely.
    2 cups fresh peaches (about 4-5 large peaches), ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Scatter the peaches evenly over the flour mixture. Do not stir!
  • Bake for 1 hour or until the batter is set and lightly golden.
  • Cool slightly at room temperature, and enjoy as is or topped with vanilla ice cream!

Notes

Storage: Transfer leftovers to an airtight container and store them in the fridge for up to 5 days. Or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until warmed through, or in 30-second increments in the microwave.
