A man and woman standing in front of a Christmas tree.

Hey! We’re Shyanne and Cameron.

Shyanne is a copywriter and content writer and started her career working for other food bloggers. With an English degree, a concentration in creative writing, and a minor in nutrition, the food blog world is where she calls home.

Cameron is a financial analyst turned CrossFit coach and competitor and SEO expert.

We live in Utah with our two dogs, Cooper and Stella. When we’re not in the kitchen or behind a computer screen, you can find us in the kitchen, at the gym, or exploring a new mountain.

Our Love Story with Food

Shyanne has always loved cooking and grew up experimenting with different flavor combinations and recipes and even worked in various kitchens. However, after getting married in 2022, learning how to create quick, versatile, budget-friendly meals became a necessity as running two businesses and meeting health and fitness goals became time-consuming priorities.

Cameron, on the other hand, has slowly learned more about cooking over the years of being married. He’s always made a mean baked salmon and the best roasted potatoes in the world. However, he quickly fell in love with the art of cooking once being exposed to different techniques and cultures. Now, we both love to cook and are always trying new restaurants and planning our next trip to experience new cultures and cuisines!

The Start of the Blog

Shyanne has always toyed with the idea of starting a meal prep company. However, logistics just weren’t panning out. So, when Cameron’s corporate job was sucking the life out of him, we decided to make a pivot and take a big risk. He quit his job and became an employee of Shyanne’s company learning all things web tech and SEO. Before he knew it, he was invested in the food blog world and just as eager as Shyanne to create something of his own.

Thus, Getcha Some of That was born!

Our Mission

Cameron is a certified personal trainer through NASM, has his CrossFit level 2 certification, and still coaches classes throughout the week while training himself. Shyanne is also passionate about fitness and has studied through NASM as well. As a result, food and nutrition have always been a huge part of our lives. Going through school, we were too broke to afford much. So, we learned how to get creative with budget-friendly recipes, creating nutrient-rich, macro-friendly options that still tasted great. (We couldn’t live on Ramen, after all.)

Now that we’re grown, we’re happy to say our meals have become a bit more elevated. However, we still prioritize whole food ingredients and protein. Now, we’re on a mission to show others that they don’t have to give up on their health goals in order to enjoy delicious meals. And they don’t have to give up flavor to meet their goals.

There is a way to enjoy delicious meals while sticking to your budget and fueling your body properly!

About the Name

Getcha Some of That was inspired by Shyanne’s older brother, Tyler. The two have always bonded over cooking new recipes and trying restaurants together. And when something is particularly good, Tyler always exclaims, “Getcha some of that!” usually while trying to give you a bite.

He’s a huge reason Shyanne is still so passionate about cooking, and his influence can be found in pretty much all of our recipes. Hot sauce? Tyler. Unique texture? Tyler? Foil packets? Those are definitely his recipes. Seriously, they’re life-changing.

He’s our biggest fan and brings so much joy to our cooking. This blog wouldn’t be here without him. So, it only felt fitting that we included him in the name.
